What You’ll Need

You will need the following:
* A quiet room, where you can focus.
* A large table or surface.
* A Clow Card Set OR a Sakura Card Set — or a regular deck of playing cards with the jokers removed!

If you are looking for a Clow Card deck, there are two places you can find them:
* eBay
* Yahoo! JP Auctions (through Rinkya or another similar service)

Many of the sets on eBay are Chinese bootlegs though, so make sure what you’re getting is official. Otherwise, you may end up with a really cheap quality set (although I’m not sure, I don’t own any of the bootleg sets). In any case, only get one that has the card form images, no character (such as Sakura or Tomoyo) images.

Here’s a quick synopsis of the official versions that are out there:

Basically, anything with an official Bandai label / sticker on it.

Thank-you so much for taking the time to do this! I’ve been looking around for almost a year for a proper translation and I finally found one. I’m very greatful, thank-you once again. C:

hos about the trendmasters clow cards ?

Nox Vulpes - February 27, 2011

That is the American version! 🙂 You can use that set of cards without any problems.

jeremy - February 27, 2011

so, did Bandai produced them or Trendmasters ?

According to the information I can find, it seems that Trendmasters was the maker of all of the American CCS toys. Lemme update that real quick (thanks for pointing that out).

Have been seeing the so-called American version frequently but haven’t seen the box that is sold along to house it. Very curious but from the unopened Trendmasters version, both looks very very similar.

I actually just made a game that allows you to draw Clow/Sakura cards from a deck, since the cards are hard to come by these days.

Thank you so much! Thank you for the effort in completing this! I am sure your hard work will pay off and be rewarded! ❤ I actually bought this yesterday but the book/manual was in Japanese. I can read them but still not good in Kanji. I searched and found this as well as the threads in Aeclectic Forum, Again, Thank you very very much! ❤
